[Case Sharing] One case of artificial lacrimal duct insertion surgery
Recently, a 69 year old patient from our Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat Department visited our hospital. The patient, Mr. Xie, reported experiencing tears and mild pain in his right eye two years ago without any apparent cause. He had visited the hospital multiple times with unsatisfactory results, and his right eye continued to shed tears and experience pain, which seriously affected his daily life. After learning about the ophthalmology department of our hospital through the introduction of relatives and the official account of the hospital, the patient immediately went to our ophthalmology clinic from Shangping Town for treatment.

[Case Sharing] For over 30 years, there have been repeated tears and discomfort from foreign objects in the right eye
The patient is a 67 year old male who was admitted to the hospital due to "recurrent tears in the right eye and discomfort with foreign objects for over 30 years". Admission diagnosis: foreign body in lacrimal sac? Chronic dacryocystitis. After completing various preoperative auxiliary examinations, a lacrimal sac exploration surgery was performed under local anesthesia the next day. During the surgery, scar formation was observed in the lacrimal sac, and a foreign body about 6cm long was cut open. The surgery was successful in removing the foreign body, and the patient recovered well and was discharged from the hospital.
